Uni-Filter foam air filter - 11/4/2002
Well incase you want one here is the Uni-Filter part number: UT280-150 and it cost me $57AUD all up.

The main reason I replaced though was because a mechanic had put the backfire shield back on the wrong way round and this had caused the rubber edge of the OEM filter element to breakapart and send rubber into the carbies.

It came pre-primed which was good because I was dreading having to buy some oil aswell. I slotted straight into the airbox with ease. It was green and red, not that will matter because no one will ever see it.

Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it but here is a picture from the manufacturers website to give you an idea.

I bought mine from my local auto parts shop for $57 which is less than they are on the website by about $2 which surprised me so if you buy one keep that in mind.

Well the general consensus is that there was no noticeable improvement in induction sound, performance or at the bowser. So only do it if you plan to keep the car for a very long time and then you might make your money back over buying Ryco paper elements.
